FYI - The Corn Shucking listed on the menu for Wed. has been canceled. We will still be serving corn though on Thursday. This was an exciting new addition to the menu, and I'm sure activities like this will make their appearance once all the kinks have been worked out of preparing and serving the new menu - a Herculean task in and of itself. The goal here was to have kids see where food comes from and be involved in its preparation as a way to learn about and participate in healthy eating. This would have been a lovely introduction to fresh corn after years of canned USDA commodity corn (with its added salt and sugar.) We're excited to see what they come up with next! The corn will be great regardless.
