Our goal is to promote meaningful dialogue, initiate reform, and inspire a wholesome food culture in The Sea Cliff School. We view nutritious, minimally processed whole foods as essential to a developing child. We support educational and food service initiatives that foster a healthy, enjoyable relationship with food and empower learners with the tools to make food choices that promote health and well being.

You Can Block "Snack" (aka Dessert) Purchases on Your Account
Each week, piles of empty cookie boxes are recycled by our school's cafeteria. These bags of cookies cost $1.50 each. You can check your child's food purchases by viewing his or her account online at My Payments Plus. If you are unfamiliar with the system, at lunch kids can buy something they call "snack" including these cookies. If you do not want your child to use his or her lunch account for these items, you can call the food service dept. at 277-7090 and have them blocked on his or her account. They do have some healthier items for sale, too, which you may want to discuss with your child.
Here's what the snack/dessert display looked like at Glen Head last year -- right before they added boxes of cookies to the bottom shelf.
