The USDA has released it's "Smart Snacks in Schools" proposal and is accepting public comments. These are the regulations the USDA was asked to write as part of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act reauthorizing the national school lunch program. The goal is to improve the nutritional value of all food sold anywhere in a school during school hours.
